Tuscarawas County Beekeepers Celebrate National Beekeepers Day at Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market on August 18, 2010

Club members provide education about bees, honey and beekeeping
Members of the Tuscarawas County Beekeepers were on hand at the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market at the Dover fairgrounds on Wednesday, August 18, to provide a display to market attendees. The date was chosen in honor of National Honey Bee Awareness Day,which is Saturday, August 21.

The display included an observation hive, a capped frame of honey and extractor, as well as a miniature hive and tools, to help explain beekeeping practices to the public. Market attendees asked many questions about the bees, honey and beekeeping. Our thanks to Jerry Roth, Doug Hood and John and Jona Scott for manning the display.
